The City of Edmonton is going to change how it collects waste, organics and recyclables in our communities. Follow the link below for an online survey (opening October 1st) and consider attending one of the in-person sessions.

You’ve probably heard of and/or visited the Food4Good affordable fruit and veggie market at our community hall, but did you know that Food4Good is planning to bring a community food centre to Jasper Place? Do you know what a community food centre is? Find out more by attending a screening of Six Primrose – A Community Food Centre Documentary on November 2nd!

Party in the Park doesn’t happen without the volunteers who help with setup and tear downs, who pop popcorn, flip burgers and sell memberships. If you can spare an hour or two to help out while you enjoy the day, please click here to signup.

Epcor is proposing to build new transmission lines from their Poundmaker to Meadowlark substations.
Each of the segments in the map above is a potential route for the new above ground transmission lines. Segment A would follow the Anthony Henday Utility Corridor and the Whitemud Drive Corridor. Segments B through G would require building new lines in Glenwood, above ground, and between homes and the sound barrier along 170th street.
Any route selected by Epcor requires the approval of the Alberta Utilities Commission. Your property in Glenwood might be directly adjacent, or in close proximity to a potential route that could mean the construction of new transmission lines in Glenwood. If this is the case, you can make a submission to the utilities regulator.
Vist http://bit.ly/transmissionlines1 to download the information packet from Epcor which includes contact information for the Utilities Commission. Visit http://bit.ly/transmissionlines2 to view a cross section of where the lines would be placed in Glenwood on the east side of the sound barrier
Please contact the Glenwood Community League if you have questions about this notice – 780-489-7571 or glenwoodcommunity@hotmail.com. The community league would appreciate hearing your thoughts so we can also write to the Utilities Commission reflecting the opinion of our residents.
June 3rd, 2-5 PM, at the Glenwood Hall

Hosted by the Stony Plain Road Business Improvement Area at their new home in The Orange Hub.
