The City of Edmonton’s Big Bin Events accept household items that can’t be set out for regular waste collection at no charge. Twelve of the weekend events are held in various locations throughout the City.
Accepted Materials
- Couches, chairs, mattresses, and other household furniture items too large for curbside pickup
- Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers and other large household appliances (will be recycled)
- Computers, televisions and other household electronics (will be recycled)
Non-accepted Materials
- Commercial Waste
- Household Hazardous Waste – please take to an Eco Station. They will be accepted at no cost.
