The community league continues to cover the cost for our members to swim at the outdoor swimming pools for FREE during the following days/times. Please take advantage of this and cool off in the hot weather! *You must show your membership card.**

Big Bin Event:

Big Bin events are held in various communities city-wide to collect large household items that can’t be set out for regular collection such as old couches, mattresses, broken lawn furniture etc.

August 18 & 19 Jasper Place 9200 – 163 Street (Between the skating rink and St. FX school).

September Party in the Park Reminder
Sept. 8th, 2012 from 5-9 pm Party in the Park – Annual membership drive

Once again we will have $1 food and drinks with burgers, pop, corn and chips, free popcorn, kids and youth activities (the video games will be back!) DJ and dance all topped off with spectacular fireworks !!!! We hope to see you lending a hand and enjoying the festivities!

Drop in Program
Our community hall (16430 97 Ave) is offering drop in programs for youth ages 12 to 17 on the following days and times:

Mon-Thurs 12:30-8pm
Friday 3:30 to 8pm

Here are a list of events coming up for youth:
August 10 Eskimos football game (you must register with the youth leader, Hailey)
August 16 3 vs. 3 basketball by Churchill Square
August 17 bonfire at Belmead (you must attend with the youth leader)

For Children:

Green Shack Program
Drop in program for children ages 6-12 years old. Games, crafts, special events (SANDCASTLE CONTEST TODAY!!!!!)
